Toronto’s Fetish Fair Ended

Those hoping for an event here in Vancouver modelled on San Francisco’s Folsom Street Fair or Toronto’s Fetish Fair (an unlikely prospect in “No Fun City” to begin with) are likely to find less support for the idea in wake of news that Toronto’s Fair has come to an end.

Xtra reports on the whys and where-fors of the decision of the local business improvement association behind the move, and it’s interesting to read that many of the concerns gay businesses in the association have regarding identity are the same ones expressed by those here in Vancouver after the Davie Village Business Improvement Association expanded to become the West End Business Improvement Association.
