Thursday, February 13
Where: Chapel Arts, 304 Dunlevy Ave, Vancouver
Chapel Arts is rapidly becoming Vancouver’s best alternative events venue in the opinion of Erotic Vancouver, and this weekend certainly lends the proof to our opinion.
Galatians 5:19 is a group art show focussing on Matters of the Heart – Heart of the Matter, and featuring original art by: Mark Anderson, Nathan Wiens, Don Sutton, Vincent Dumoullin, I Braineater, NE Nolan, Al Blake, Reineer Derdau, Al Simmer, Milan Basic, Matt Aiken, and Eric Jensen.
With live painting, artists in attendance, live performance, and a giant penis on wheels that holds up to 4 people, it’s an art show well outside the norm, and the sort of great event we’ve come to expect from Chapel Arts!
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Where: Chapel Arts, 304 Dunlevy Ave, Vancouver
NOIR Fetish Ball presents it’s second ever themed event, the religious inspired Galatians 5:19.
Sharing a name with Chapel Arts art show, which remains on display in The Rectory, even as the dancing mayhem takes place there courtesy of Applecat & dj://spaz.
Downstairs delight in NOIR’s signature Front & Centre dungeon space – now the norm on Vancouver’s fetish scene, this is the night that first made it a standard! And all of that takes place right next to the main room Chapel Dancefloor which will delight in the spinning efforts of NOIR frontman and resident DJ Logik, as well as guest DJ Jeremy Warren (of the bands Left Spine Down and Frontline Assembly.)
There’s a STRICT fetish dress code in effect, and religious outfits are welcomed and encouraged, although not mandatory. Plus because NOIR is run by long standing kinksters who know a theme is about more than just costuming, you can expect some special religious themed dungeon scenes throughout the evening!

This is a Mens & Puppy’s leather event. Rubber and fetish event street clothes will be frowned upon, and the organizers request that no colognes be worn.
Vancouver’s Geekenders nerdleque troupe has gone from a local cult sensation to an internationally reported upon sensation since their multiple times held-over and sold out Star Wars: A Nude Hope show debuted at The Rio Theatre last fall. Hot on the heels of that success they are back with a run of live, full length burlesque plays, beginning with The Wizard of Bras.
Featuring a cast of fifteen nerdlesque performers, this is the burlesque event and troupe Erotic Vancouver has it’s eyes on most in 2014! In fact Star Wars: A Nude Hope was the winner of this magazine’s Oh Fun City Award! for the best event last year, and we expect similarly great things from this and all the Geekender’s shows.
