Hot Sexy Events: July 13-15

Erotic Vancouver would like to apologize for not having had a whole week worth of Hot Sexy Events for you Sunday or Monday, but covering an unfolding story, in addition to the full time job that pays the bills, left no time to complete the week’s listings.

So if you didn’t know what to do or where to do it earlier this week, you’ll just have to make up for it this weekend!

Tonight, Friday the 13th, it’s Tatas and Tiaras. Whether you are a fan of the trainwreck reality show Toddlers and Tiaras, enjoy burlesque, or love watching hilarious campy live theatre, this is the event for you! The evening’s contestants include Blush Lane, Dame Booty Dench, Darla Devine, Rufflesilkskin, Ruthe Ordare, Spooksy DeLune, Vanity Feral & Violent Femme. All this hosted by the incomparable April O’Peel, and judged by Madame Mae I, Sex Luthor, The Purrfessor and Precious Metal.

Just typing all those names makes Erotic Vancouver wonder, when did burlesque names get even more creative and hilarious than drag queen names?

All the fun takes place at Vancouver’s recent home of so much that is creative and crazy, The Rio Theatre. Tickes are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

You’ll find all the details at the Facebook event listing or on the RIO Theatre website.

Looking for something to do afterwards? You might want to stick around for the RIO’s midnight movie (at 11:00pm) of The Fifth Element.

Finally, the show’s organizers would like known that, while Tatas and Tiaras mocks TLC’s Toddlers and Tiaras, all contestants are 19 years or older and are consenting legal adults, not toddlers forced into make-up and wigs!

Saturday, July 14th, features a host of events to choose from, like just about every other Saturday night, it seems.

First up is Art Show Goddess. Put on by, and featuring the art work of, artist Jimmy Cummins (formerly known as I. Braineater) it promises to be a night of bizarrely sexy art, and if it’s like his past shows, bizarrely sexy guests. All this takes place at his studio/home at 857 Beatty Street and runs from 7-11pm.

If you’re a frequent reader of Hot Sexy Events you know we can’t say enough good things about Geeks After Dark. Seeing one of their shows for the first time is like losing your virginity again, and getting it right this time! Excitement, anticipation, rapture, all without the mess, apologizing, and insistence that it will be better next time.

This Saturday the incomparable mash up of comedy, burlesque and mental illness presents Geeks After Dark: A Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy. It’s GAD’s version of Star Wars. Join hosts Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi as they restore that funky groove to the galaxy. Really, even if you can’t make it, go read their Facebook event listing. Read it. Laugh. Get upset that you work Saturday night, then give serious consideration to calling in sick that evening and getting yourself down to The Cellar Nightclub from 6-10pm. You won’t regret it (well, maybe if you get fired)!

The afternoon of Sunday, July 15th, from 12:30-3:30pm is the BGV Chat & Chew, taking place at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Gastown. BGV stands for Bi Girls of Vancouver, and the afternoon is a chance to come out and meet, or reconnect with, old and new members of this great group of like-minded people. No cost other than what you eat. You’ll find all the details on their Fetlife event listing.

That’s it for another edition of Hot Sex Events. Check back next week for some great events that include a munch for the young at heart, the premiere of a truly unique burlesque film, and one of the hottest tickets this summer, NOIR Fetish Ball’s Premiere Night at Open Studios. (Okay, being a partner in it might make this a little biased, but really, it’s going to be HOT!) Details on it…well, you’ll just have to check back here next week, won’t you?
