Presented by local fetish night producers NOIR, and former Sin City front man Mr. Dark, you know this night is going to feature some sex appeal, even if it doesn’t have the dress code and dungeons you might normally associate with their events.
So what does the night have? Well for starters their’s local music legend Big John Bates, playing new material he describes as “Americana Noir,” a darker, edgier sound than those familiar with his rockabilly shows with the Voodoo Dolls might expect. Saturday, December 7
First up is the Combichrist Old School DJ Set happening at Chapel Arts on Saturday, December 7th. It’s a co-production of Crowsnest and NOIR, and features aggro-tech rockers Andy LaPlegua and Joe Letz doing a DJ set ahead of their live show the next night at Venue.
The night also happens to be the birthday party for Erotic Vancouver editor and NOIR Fetish Ball partner Reive Doig, and kinkster that he is the night also features a dungeon play space upstairs in The Rectory. What the night doesn’t feature is a strict fetish dress code, so if you’ve ever wanted to check out the local kink and fetish scene without investing in some leather or latex this could be the night for you.
Details can be found on their Facebook event listing.
Saturday, December 14
Next up is the encore performance of Star Wars: A Nude Hope. Normally we wouldn’t be highlighting something two weeks away, but the first two performances of this burlesque extravaganza sold out, and we expect that by next week there won’t be any tickets left!
The show was met with rave reviews, including from Erotic Vancouver, which after seeing an early rehearsal declared it to be in the running for Hot Sexy Event of the Year—and when we saw the actual show things had gotten light years better!
You’ll find details on the show on Facebook, and you can purchase advance tickets on the Rio Theatre tickets site.
That’s it for another week’s worth of Hot Sexy Events. Know of an event we missed that you think should be on the list, let us know in a comment below!
