Hot Sexy Events: May 6-12

May 6, 2013 at 5:20 pm  •  Posted in Hot Sexy Events by  •  0 Comments

After last weeks short column, a result of other commitments on the part of Erotic Vancouver editor Reive, we’re happy to be back with a full column of HOT SEXY events this week. And we’re happy to report it’s a varied and mixed bag of sexiness yet again, testament to why we’re calling Vancouver “Oh Fun City!”

And of course as summer sets in you don’t have to venture out to a specific evening or venue to feel Hot and Sexy; the city’s beaches beckon, particularly Wreck Beach, Vancouver’s nude optional haven. If you’re looking for info on Wreck check out either the Facebook group dedicated to it, or the Wreck Beach website, which features directions, transit information and more.

Looking to get out of the heat for an afternoon? The Museum of Vancouver (MOV) hosts the ongoing exhibition “Sex Talk in the City” until September 2nd. In addition the ongoing exhibition hosts several special talks and other events during it’s run, including one this Tuesday dedicated to seniors and sexuality which you’ll read about below. For information on the exhibition itself you’ll find it on the MOV website.

Make it a point to visit both of those at least once before summer’s end, and for the week ahead check out some of these great events.

This Aint you Mummas BingoWednesday, May 8: This Ain’t Yo Mumma’s Bingo Swinin’ 60s Edition
Where: Hyde, 2960 Main Street, Vancouver
When: 8:30-late

When it comes to OUTRAGEOUS BINGO, we’ll stack Vancouver up against any city in North America. Long time staple Bingo For Life (aka Gay Bingo) has been happening on Davie Street for years now, but there’s a younger contender for the MOST OUTRAGEOUS crown, and in any given week it’s a toss up as to which night deserves it most.

This week Erotic Vancouver is giving the edge to This Ain’t Yo Mumma’s Bingo, specifically their Swingin’ 60s Edition.

This is a twist on the classic pastime and has everybody getting in on the action. Expect your hosts, Beatrix Hotter and Villainy Loveless, to be scantily clad and calling for words like “Moist” “Taint” and “Porno” instead of boring ol “Bingo”. To add to the evenings entertainment, they’ve thrown in “magic balls” and when one is drawn, funny, silly and sexy things happen that could win you prizes and free drinks!

Interior Leather BarFriday, May 10: Interior Leather Bar (DOXA Screening)
Where: Rio Theatre, 1660 East Broadway, Vancouver
When: 9:00-10:30pm

As part of the DOXA, Vancouver’s Documentary Film Festival, the Rio Theatre is showing James Franco’s “Interior, Leather Bar” this Friday evening.

According to the DOXA website:

“This latest outing from modern-day Renaissance Man, James Franco, is a rather curious documentary hybrid. The apocryphal story of the lost 40 minutes of footage cut from Cruising, the Al Pacino/William Friedkin film, forms the jumping-off point. But really that is only the beginning. Reality and fiction make for interesting bedfellows. One intermingles with the other until it is hard to say where documentary leaves off and fiction begins.

“Franco and director Travis Mathews take it upon themselves, with help from a bevy of enthusiastic men in leather, to recreate the fabled lost footage. What ensues is a lot of men, boots, harnesses, and hardcore sex. What may come as a surprise, however, are the less showy moments of raw honesty. In conversations off set between the star (Val Lauren) and the filmmaker, sexual censorship, thespian motivation, and cultural as well as personal boundaries are discussed. What emerges from this process is a film that is unafraid to engage intimately with issues of sex, cinema, and identity.”

HOT & SEXY indeed! More details can be found on the DOXA website.

Nun in Latex and GasmaskNext weekend is the Victoria Day long weekend, and Sunday night offers you an opportunity to enjoy it in very un-Victorian style!

Vancouver’s fetish upstart (and damn fun time!) NOIR Fetish Ball has been hosting their parties at Chapel Arts since January, but this party will mark the first time they’ve done it on a Sunday.

That’s right – NOIR Fetish Ball is throwing a fetish night on a Sunday in a FORMER CHURCH! So while NOIR itself is sticking to their “No Themes” policy, here at Erotic Vancouver we’re strongly suggesting you don your best kinky priest, nun, god or goddess garb and head on out to experience one heavenly night of kink!

You’ll find more details on the NOIR Fetish Ball on their Facebook event listing or at the NOIR website.

That’s it for another week of Hot Sexy Events. As always, if you know of an event you think should have been listed which isn’t let us, and the rest of Vancouver, know about it in a comment below. Until next week, stay sexy.
